Welcome to the Website for Purdue University's
EArly Atlantic Reading GrouP!

EARG is a student-run organization whose members include graduate students and faculty of Purdue University who share an interest in early Atlantic matters.  We host a variety of events designed to encourage intellectual conversation, professional development, and good cheer among our members, such as practice conference sessions, reading group discussions, and trips to conferences of all scales. We also host an annual colloquium at the end of the spring semester to offer a space for graduate students from English, American Studies, History, and other disciplines to present their current research.

EARG was founded in 2002, and its earliest members included graduate students Brian Yothers, Sabine Klein, Nicole Livengood, Harry Clark Maddux, and Theron Francis as well as Prof. Kristina Bross and Prof. Ryan Schneider.

On this site you can find information about our group, our events, as well as news from past and current EARG members!
